180 Corel Painter X3 Getting Started Guide
The Layout Grid also lets you divide the canvas into compositional sections based on
the proportions of the canvas. This nonprinting grid is used primarily for composing
artwork before you begin drawing or painting.
The Layout Grid helps you compose images.
To show or hide the Layout Grid
• Choose Canvas Compositions, and choose either Show Layout Grid or Hide
Layout Grid.
You can also show or hide the grid by clicking the Layout Grid tool in the
toolbox and clicking the Enable Layout Grid button on the property bar.
You can also show or hide the grid from the Navigator panel by clicking the
Open Navigator Settings button in the toolbox, and choosing Show
Grids.
To set Layout Grid options
1 Choose Window Composition Panels Layout Grid.
In the Layout Grid panel, ensure that the Enable Layout Grid check box is
enabled.
